Well, somehow you stumbled onto the Buckwheatbob.com website. I have thought about starting a website, because many people think I'm being funny when I'm really goddam serious. I hate commitments and schedules so I enter this endeavor with a certain amount of dread. This will probably be a bumpy ride for all concerned. We've got bare bones now, mostly devoted to the book.
"What book?" you ask, why of course "Hippie Tales of the Northwest Woods." Hey, this is my website and I can do anything I want.
If you are reading this I have successfully redone the website with ancient technology Microsoft Frontpage that at least lets me arrange my material somewhat. I have used it in the past but that was years ago, so good luck. You can skip the text below except the last paragraph. Actually, you can skip that too if you want to. I won't be offended.
I want technology to do what I want it to do. I'm not wired to let a piece of silicon dictate my creativity. That's kinda too bad because the web tool my ISP provides is, to put it in the best light, inadequate. I'm too old to put up with that crap. The first clue about the app was the name, Easy Site Wizard Pro. They had to add the pro. The word 'easy' causes pain because of past experience. If the easy is justified, if it really is easy to use, that means it doesn't do anything. If there is anything that would define my perspective of reality it would be that some time ago I 'fixed the hole where the rain gets in and stops my mind from wandering, where it will go.' When that consciousness comes into contact with Easy Site Wizard Pro 8.7 there can be an explosion. Another thing about this app (it's web based) is that it's free. Double shivers, it's easy and it's free. The other thing is, it's easy, it's free and it doesn't do anything, so why should they provide documentation because the piece of shit doesn't do anything. Actually It's going to be difficult trying to out think and/or fool this app so stay tuned if you are interested. They did tout the support program, and said there was a FAQ section, which under ordinary circumstances don't help me because I don't do anything right. So I click on the Support tab and I get a 'could not find the server' message. Support doesn't exist. The button worked fine though, just didn't connect to anything. To be fair the app would probably be great if I was setting up a business to sell buggy whips or something.I did get some help from on-line chat but they were mum about documentation.
On the book page you will find some stuff about the book and reviews and related bullshit. Then there is a pictures page with pictures from Takilma and Lasqueti with narratives relating to the pictures. On that front I intend to add related stories that didn't make it into the book, as well as some I have started but not completed. I am also writing stories right now, so these will be an adjunct to the book. I have now posted the Christmas letters since 1992. After I get the new stories posted I plan to do some pages on personal philosophy. I know, yawn, but remember philosophy is only a ten letter word.
